The SWANA Arizona Chapter held its 4th Annual Recognition Awards Banquet at Casino Arizona in Scottsdale on October 17, 2009.  The event was established to recognize individuals throughout the Solid Waste Industry who exemplify outstanding leadership qualities in their respective field.  There are nine award categories for individuals or organizations who met criteria established by the Recognition Committee.  The awards are intended for those who go above and beyond their usual job duties and who are not normally recognized by others.
