The Arizona Chapter of SWANA's Environmental Study Opportunities Program is offering scholarship opportunities for students to explore areas of environmental study. Students eligible for the program include: High school entering junior college or university; full-time college or university students pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a suitable major related to solid waste management; and SWANA members pursuing educational opportunities in solid waste or an environmentally-related field.
Award categories:
Category I: Graduating high school seniors or graduate equivalent certified candidates who have been accepted for enrollment in a four-year college, or a university (any program). Eligible candidates must be a SWANA member, son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter of a SWANA Member (sponsor) in good standing as of May 1st.
Category II: Currently enrolled full-time college or university students who are entering their junior or senior undergraduate year and pursuing a degree in environmental science, engineering, or other suitable major related to the field of solid waste management. Eligible candidates must be a SWANA member, son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter of a SWANA Member (sponsor) in good standing as of May 1st or a SWANA Student Member in good standing.
Category III: SWANA Chapter member who is pursuing educational opportunities, training or professional development. Preference will be given to those matriculating towards a degree; and to coursework, training or professional development in the solid waste, or environment related field.
